Accounting and controlling for smart cities!?

A majority of the world’s population now lives in large cities. A shift that has motivated politicians, managers and experts to envision, plan, and build ‘smarter’ cities where individual, collective well-being and sustainability is promoted through the use of new forms of accounting and calculative practices. In this session we present and discuss theoretical and practical issues associated with accounting and controlling for smart cities initiatives.
